Most people do not even consider themselves constipated, but they are. I would say according to this definition, that most people are constipated. Why is being constipated important? If you only have one bowel movement per day but you eat 3 meals a day, that means that 2 meals are either being totally absorbed by the body or are just sitting in your colon, turning into toxic waste. If you eat 3 meals each day and only have one bowel movement a day for 7 days then you are having 14 meals that are either being totally digested or just sitting in your colon, rotting away.
